Annie Pham is currently the director of AP School of Music and Arts. She is also an international Yamaha Certified Music Examiner and head teacher, who archived many music diplomas and certificates from Yamaha, Japan. She completed many international teacher’s practical and fundamental exams. Annie actively trains new and existing Yamaha teachers in Calgary. Annie is a member of APTA (Alberta Piano Teacher Association). Annie graduated from Mount Royal University in 2012 with a Music Performance Diploma in Classical Piano and completed her Degree in Music Performance at Ambrose University. She studied with Dmitri Nesterov, who won the Honens International Piano Competition in 1992. She has achieved many awards and scholarships throughout her music education, including the Harvard Broadcasting Music Scholarship and the Ginny Paterson Music Bursary in Piano. Annie was blessed with perfect pitch, assisting her to excel in every musical genre. Although she is classically trained, Annie easily improvises and loves playing pop and modern music. She has performed on the national television in Vietnam and on many stages in Canada.

Annie is a very motivated and patient instructor who is committed to enriching young minds with a thorough music education. She always try her best to create different ways of teaching to make practicing become much more fun, enjoyable, sufficient amount of homework but ensure that her students will get the best and effective result in learning. Many of her students achieved First Class Honors with Distinctions in their Royal Conservatory examinations, while others have won gold medals in the Kiwanis Music Competition. Some of her students have also begun their career as a piano teacher. She has a strong passion for teaching music and is looking forward to meet her new students.

  • 1996-2008: Perform on many different small and large stages in Vietnam. Annie often performed on the Vietnam National Television since she was 4 years old and have won many music competitions in Vietnam.
